As many of you heard this past Sunday, Father’s Day, during the announcements that we are concerned at the rising number of Coronavirus patients in our locale. When we had originally suspended the in-person worship services beginning March 29th the number of positive cases were not as high as they are now. We do not want to go backwards, “however” as many of you have heard and read the number of positive cases are on the increase in the Seguin and New Braunfels areas. Our concern is primarily for the safety of our congregation and the community. After polling the Church Council it has been decided that for now, which hopefully will be for a short time, that we will go back to live streaming only starting this next Sunday, 6/28/2020, instead of the in-person worship. I am disappointed as I’m sure many of you are, but what I may want, isn’t always what is best for the whole. We are the Body of Christ and we are to see to the needs of each other as much as possible. As Paul wrote to the Church at Corinth in 1 Corinthians 12:25-26 – “There should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it.” The live service will be broadcast at 10:15 A.M. on Sunday morning. In addition the children’s message will be recorded and posted to our Facebook page. Later in the day on Sunday you may view the service on YouTube also. All of the past Sunday’s services are archived and are available for your viewing. The prior Sunday’s service is also broadcast on KWED Radio 1580 at 9:00 A.M. Sunday morning. Thank you for your continued faithfulness to Cross Church and for all your continuing prayers for our City, State, and Country. In Christ’s Love, Pastor Jim |
